Sunday I had pumpkin oatmeal for breakfast:
1 packet plain oatmeal
3 tbsp liquid egg whites
1 packet Stevia
1/4 cup pure pumpkin
peanut butter on top!
And another lazy day, so why not work out?
I did a hard core 30 minute treadmill workout. It says to go to an incline of 15 but I’m not going to lie, I just couldn’t. I only went to 12 and that was very hard! I was a sweaty mess after! I burned about 350 calories. I thought this would be a good one since I didn’t really have any other muscle group to work for the week.
You need to try this one for sure!
Every day you pick something out of the box that you have to do as a family. Some will just be Eric and I and some will include Alec. Saturday we pulled “Listen to Christmas music” out of the box and Sunday we got “Take a family photo”. So we did just that!
Here’s our photo: Alec loves UK. He just went to Rupp Arena on Saturday for his 1st b-ball game.
I tried to include Alec in most of the activities so some of ours say:
Family game night
Make Christmas cookies
Watch a Christmas movie
Go to Festival of Lights
Take a drive to look at Christmas lights
Go buy a new Christmas ornament
Drink Hot chocolate
I’m excited for these 24 days until Christmas. I love the holidays!
My weekly meal plan for Dec. 2nd is the following:
Monday– Coconut Chicken with roasted broccoli and brown rice
Tuesday– Laura’s Lean homemade chili
Wednesday– Pot Roast in Crock pot
Thursday– Turkey Burgers with sweet potato fries
Friday– (I work 12 hours)- Lasagna for Boys
Saturday– Out to eat
Sunday– Dinner at mom’s
My Weekly Workout Plan:
Monday- gym with sis- Biceps/Abs/Cardio
Tuesday- Pure Barre after work
Wednesday- Pure Barre after work
Thursday- gym with sis- back & shoulders
Saturday- gym- Chest and Triceps
Sunday- Pure Barre? Or Off? Depends on how I’m feeling 😉

Saturday I woke up to 60 degree weather! It was so nice outside. I’m in the cold weather mode still though so I had oatmeal for breakfast.
I used 1/2 cup Plain Mad Hectic Protein Oatmeal
3 tbsp liquid egg whites
1 tbsp flax-seed meal
One heaping scoop of chunky peanut butter
After Breakfast I headed to Pure Barre in Fort Wright, Ky!! The class I went to was “Lite” but it was still a good workout!
My fat burn % of calories was 40 doing Pure Barre! That’s pretty awesome for not doing anything hard on my body like jumping, running etc.
I burn about 15-30% fat when I do cardio or a combination of cardio & weight lifting.
They are having a holiday challenge right now that whoever can take the most classes until Dec. 24th get’s a month FREE! You should definitely look into this if you haven’t yet. You still have time! Visit them on Facebook to get more information!
We did the pretzel to work our “outer seat”. It was a challenge for sure and my seat is sore today!
These isometric- “just an inch” movements have you shaking by no time!
The last twenty minutes of class focused on ab work and my abs were on fire the whole time. This is a good feeling 🙂

For lunch I had an avocado and mango salad with grilled chicken.
It also had tomatoes and feta cheese.
That’s a little bit of corn casserole on the side.
Even though it was pretty warm out I made Eric some hot chocolate so I decided to have some too. This only has 7 grams of sugar compared to others that have 15-22 grams. And I had a few pieces of miniature Hershey’s.
I was craving chocolate I guess.
We played around with the dogs a little…
My pup is getting so big! I’m not going to be able to hold him much longer.
For dinner we had Fried Eggs with sweet potato hash.
I made mine with an orange pepper, chicken apple sausage and added cinnamon and paprika to the potatoes.
After dinner we watched “Lawless.” What a great movie! It’s based off a true story.
