Good Morning!  Happy Friday!

It’s so Awesome to hear bird chirping in the morning isn’t it?  Thank God I think it’s finally Spring, even though it does need to warm up some more!!

This morning I wanted to recap on some good eats I had this week.  It will be short and sweet this morning because I have to get to work!

CROSSFIT

If you missed my post yesterday about What Crossfit Has Taught Me {So Far} You should really check it out!

Oh and last night, another PR.  I did 4 Kipping Pull Ups!  Yay.

Last Night’s Crossfit Session was kind of Brutal.

This was the Wod:

  • Row 7500 Meters As Fast As Possible:  30  Min. Time Cap

So I did the row for 30 minutes and got 5836 Meters.  I am tall so everyone keeps telling me I should be VERY good at rowing.  I guess I need to get better at at!

After rowing for 30 minutes straight my shoulders were on fire, and my butt was numb… something to look forward to right?

Tonight at Crossfit we are doing the Open 13.5!

Workout 13.5

4 minute AMRAP of:
15 Thrusters (100 / 65 lbs)
15 Chest to bar Pull-ups
*4 minute bonus for every 90 reps (3 rounds) completed.

At our Box you can do RX2 meaning if you have to use a band to do the pull ups, or scale the weight.  I will be doing RX2 because I will have to use a band for the pull ups.

I will let you know how I do!?!

I’ll be back later this weekend!  Have a good Friday!

Good Afternoon!

Monday was full of tires and sandbags!

You know it’s a slow start on a Monday when I need coffee, because I NEVER drink coffee.  It was one of those days if you know what I mean.  Since I took a lazy Sunday away from the gym I knew I had to hit it hard after work, especially since I had like 18 pieces of candy at work!  I actually got off an hour early so I got my workout in and was home by the time I would usually get home from work, woo hoo!

This is the workout that I made up from earlier in the week.

tire wod

WOD= Workout Of Day

AMRAP= As Many Rounds As Possible

HRPU= Hand Release Push Ups

I did 5 Rounds + 5 HRPU in 12 Minutes.  The push ups started getting super hard around the 3rd round and my legs were burning after the lunges. Feel the Burn!

Check these out for some more info on the above exercises:

Sandbag Lunges

Dinner:

I was so undecided on what to eat when I got home from crossfit so I just threw a bunch of random stuff together.  The other day I had half of a sweet potato and I saved the other half so I decided to warm it up and throw some cinnamon on it. YUM.

Then I topped it with some turkey sausage and 2 scrambled eggs.  Topped it all with some mozzarella cheese.

This picture is wimpy compared to what you are about to see!

dinner

After dinner I made some Protein Cookie Dough Crumble inspired by StuftMama

Protein Cookie Dough Crumble

2 servings

protein cookie dough crumble

2 tbsp coconut flour

1-2 tbsp almond milk (unsweetened vanilla)

2 tbsp unsweetened applesauce

pinch salt

1/8 tsp baking powder

1 stevia packet

1/2 tsp vanilla extract

1/2 scoop vanilla protein powder

Mix all ingredients together.  Cover and chill for at least 30 minutes.

crumble

The original recipe called for liquid stevia drops which I don’t have but I really want to buy some!  I used regular stevia, but you could probably use any kind of sweetener that you like, or even honey.

This is the first time experimenting with this, but you may have to experiment too 🙂  You made need more or less liquid to get the consistency that you want.

I must have had a major sweet tooth because then I decided this crumble would be great on my Protein Brownie For One.

Add any other toppings that you like:

Nut Butter

Honey Pecan Pie Protein Icing

Protein PB2 Sauce

What is your favorite healthy dessert?
